How did you get started as a photographer?
I picked up a camera when my first daughter was born and fell in love with documenting her every moments, every day. I wanted to remember everything incase a moment passed that I may not remember.
What did life look like before photography?
I was a heavy machinery operator in the Mines in the Hunter Valley NSW
Tell us about a day in the life of a professional photographer …
Working late in to the night editing, sipping tea and sneaking biscuits.
Any memorable moments?
I photographed a beautiful family that the Mum had terminal cancer, it was melanoma and very aggressive. It was such a heart warming session and it was very close to my heart, as I too had melanoma cancer. I gifted the family their session and beautiful wall art as a gift. I am so grateful to have a gift that I can share with the world through photography.
If you could photograph 1 thing for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Families…. It is where life begins and love never ends!
What is the best thing about your job?
Meeting so many beautiful families. As an accredited professional photographer, I love the creative learning process. Photography is now a part of who I am, a part of how I express myself and share my gifts. I constantly challenge myself to grow as an artist and find the true magic. I also LOVE hanging out with other photographers.
Tell us something we don’t know about professional photography …
We as professional photographers are constantly learning to better our skills in different areas. This might mean thousands of dollars and hours spent refining our skills.

Probably still Mining… Don’t tell my husband.
Here’s a blank cheque! What are you going to spend it on for your business?
This is a tough question. I would invest in a few new lenses and a personal assistant! our camera bags are really heavy!!! lol
If you could photograph someone famous, who would it be and why?
Hmmm, I would love to photograph David Attenborough on location somewhere exotic. I LOVE ANIMALS!
