Deanne Crowder Photography – Junee NSW
How did you get started as a photographer?
After first discovering my love for photography in high school, I built my business ground up on my own, from my love and passion of photography. After purchasing my first DSLR I knew this was what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. So I did some mentoring and online classes, built up my knowledge and continued shooting!
What did life look like before photography?
Over the years I’ve done several things, including waitressing, acrylic nails, makeup and beauty ect. But none compare to being a mum.
Tell us about a day in the life of a professional photographer …
Myself personally, on a shooting day I’ll get my kids sorted out, grab a coffee head to my session or sessions, once home I straight away begin downloading all images to my laptop to begin editing that night! I then check emails and socials, sometimes I’ll have a call or two to make. And some days I have partners to meet for giveaways ect. If my day is free then I’ll grab my camera and kiddos and head out location searching and photographing my babies!
Any memorable moments?
Each session is special to me in one way or another. Though I had a little boy run up and cuddle me the moment he met me, and that’s always stuck with me.
If you could photograph 1 thing for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Families. Hands down. I love families and being able to connect with each member individually.
What is the best thing about your job?
The people I work with of course! But being able to be creative everyday is pretty awesome too
Tell us something we don’t know about professional photography …
We spend A LOT of time at the computer!
If you weren’t a photographer, what would you be doing?
I honestly don’t know, photography is all I could ever see myself doing.
Here’s a blank cheque! What are you going to spend it on for your business?
If you could photograph someone famous, who would it be and why?
Probably the Kardashians.
Who doesn’t love a huge family to photograph?
