Sarah Lorien Photography – Designed and Documentary – is based in Sydney.

I specialise in Lifestyle photography which can be described as a hybrid of studio and documentary styles. Most of my clients choose images for their walls that are not the typically posed portraits, because they are so lovely and authentic and true to personalities and time. These works are unique, they’re not like everyone else. But I also include the more classic compositions in our sessions because it’s nice to have a choice. This is where ‘Designed and Documentary’ comes in.

This way of working enhances all of the genres I photograph – families, individuals, pets, headshots and branding, and of course, weddings. You will have the smiling at the camera photos and the more creative storytelling images.

I also train photographers and other students in Adobe Photoshop and photographic retouching in private lessons and through courses and Northern Beaches Mosman College.
