Up until a year and a half ago, photography had just been a hobby….something I loved doing but had only done with my own children and for friends and family. I’d never had the courage to take that next step and make it my job. Then while pregnant with my third child and with the support of my awesome hubby I signed up for a two day workshop with Kath V Photography. What an amazing human being – she is so super talented!! My mind was blown and I was completely hooked. I went home and kicked the kids out of their playroom, set up my little home studio and the rest is history!!!
I firmly believe that capturing those first few weeks of a newborns life is so important…..it goes so quickly and they change so much. It’s easily the hardest time for new mums and dads, with sleep deprivation, settling into routines, working out babies cries, changing nappies, feeding challenges….the list goes on.
I love being able to provide a lovely warm environment so families can come and relax while I capture their precious newborn baby. Being a mum of three children myself, I know all the things that we need to keep baby (and mum and dad) safe and happy during the session.
I love everything about beautiful squishy little babies but my passion lies in the details. Capturing those tiny toes, those gorgeous lashes and pouty lips, their little fingers and flakey skin are what it’s all about. I would really love to capture those first precious moments and memories for you to treasure forever and consider it a great honour to have you entrust me with your little bundle of joy.
I love photographing with natural light (which can sometimes be a challenge in this crazy Melbourne weather) and although I love newborns, I also love photographing mums during pregnancy for their maternity photos, babies when they are smiling, crawling and sitting up (sitter sessions) and cake smashes or milk bath sessions for their milestone first birthday!! I also love photographing families, either in the studio or outdoors capturing the true essence of a families love.
My aim is to work closely with you to give you a wonderful and memorable experience from start to finish. I’m here to help create beautiful imagery for you to proudly hang on your walls and have as precious memories for years to come.
