It was an incredible night at the Style Pose Click Melbourne event on July 20th, 2019 when the winners were announced for the annual Find A Photographer Australia awards. This unique photography awards program is the first of its kind that celebrates the variety of different elements required to build a successful photography business. Running a photography business is so much more than just creating beautiful imagery. This year photographers were encouraged to apply in six different categories : marketing, creativity, community, philanthropy, client experience and studio design.
We were so thrilled to have our incredible sponsors Camera House Australia support the awards this year and they were represented at the event by Croydon & Ringwood Camera House stores in conjunction with Sony Australia. Thank you to those involved in making these awards come to life.
A big congratulations to all Australian photographers who entered in 2019! The entries were certainly inspiring. We laughed, we cried. Our judges were completely blown away by the amazing stories that were shared. Photography businesses of all shapes and sizes told their stories of triumph over adversity, individual client care and shared their experiences building their businesses in all areas of Australia. It was truly emotional and uplifting!
All entries in 2019 who successfully fulfilled the category criteria will be commended for their entry. Finalists were chosen from the participants and our judging team then voted to decide on a single category winner and two runners up. We are excited to share the winner’s stories with you!

Jade Read’s all around approach to marketing her Gold Coast based business ticks every box. Her branding is clear and consistent. Sarah Richardson participates in a wide variety of charity work in the photography industry and uses her skills in the community. This includes her photography of animals at Dreamer’s Hen Rescue and work to help market their organisation. She donates her time to Teddy’s Team photographing kittens to increase their chance of behind rehomed. She also works on the T21 project to educate the public about Down’s Syndrome and volunteers her time photographing fostered newborn babies so that when they are adopted, their new parents have photos of them. Sarah also volunteers for Heartfelt and so much more.

Fleur Ferguson’s incredible rural studio set in the Goulburn Valley on the banks of the Goulburn river excludes country charm that her clients just adore. Her gorgeous purpose built barn studio has all of the finishing touches and her workspace is designed with detail and care. Surrounded by gorgeous country gardens, she uses both indoor and outdoor spaces to create her beautiful imagery.
